I own three vehicles which operate at this time and are on the road.  Two are in New York . A 1982 Dodge Ram Van which was converted into a short school bus.   I bought it used a year ago.  A 1982 Chevrolet caprice station wagon.  It is on poor condition.  One is in Ohio.  A 1986 ( I think) spectrum.

The school bus was parked in Yonkers at Morsemere and Palisades Aves. where it caught fire and was towed or impounded by the police on February 15th 2004. It is currently at the County Towing at 49 Fullerton Ave. In Yonkers.  To retrieve it from there I need at least possibly more and the money to replace the windshield and two front side windows.  The windshield and all of the glass is broken.  I need to replace at least the windshield and the two side windows so I can drive it to Ohio.

The school bus is full of the belongings of a Jewish Man who was evicted from where he had a business and resided.  He moved to California to be with his daughter.  He is seventy something years old.  To try and help him I put his things in my bus and agreed to store them in Ohio until I could drive them to California if pays the gas to go both ways.   I work as a minister of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.  It is my desire to be a witness to this Jewish man of the love and value of Jesus the Christ that I am doing these things.  He has a need and I am trying to help him with it.  That is what our ministry does.

I must check with several glass replacement places and find a reasonable affordable way to get the glass replaced.  I had thought I would replace the windshield and the two side windows with glass and put metal where the school bus widows were but I have been told that I must have something I see through all the way around the vehicle. If that is true I will try to put in Plexiglas.  If not I will put something else, which would make it harder for someone to break in and burglarize or rob the bus.

I may need to tow the vehicle from where it is impounded to the place the glass will be in stalled.  I have been told by one older experienced man who has been in the towing business for 40 years that it is legal to drive the truck without the windshield if I am wearing glasses or goggles.  If this is true I will find someone to drive along side me and drive it to the closest most reasonable place that I can make an appointment with to have replace the glass.

I have been told the best prices are at Hunts Point. Someone from Yonkers told me that they recently replaced auto glass and the best price they found was in Mount Vernon.  ___________________________________________ .

The prices I have been quoted so far for the windshield are or so.

I had been trying to use my Chevy Caprice to get around and to solve the dilemma of the school bus fire.  The Chevy left me stranded about five times in one night on the Cross County Parkway.  Dodging 60 mile an hour cars.  It had to be repaired.  There was a leak in the gas line and the various filters needed to be replaced.  A very kind repair shop fixed that for me for .

The plan I have is to get the school bus fixed, the glass replaced and put the Chevy on a tow dolly I own and use the school bus to tow the Chevy to Ohio.  I will park them in my drive way there and possibly drive the Spectrum back to New York.

I do not know if the fire will have effected the ability of the school bus ( Dodge ram van ) to start or to run properly.  I need to have a mechanic there with me when I try to start it and some one to drive along with me as I take it to a place to get  the glass put in.

I am going to guess the Windshield will cost about and the two side windows about  each.  And the glass for the two back windows will cost about each.  And the Plexiglas for the side windows about each. I believe there are five windows on each side.  Or for all of them.   Ouch.  That is .   To try and save money I will try to cover the side windows all around with plastic sheeting flexible type that one can see through and drive it to Ohio and replace the Plexiglas there. Then I can do the work and would only need help with the price of the materials.   I would not try to put the glass in because I am not skilled at that and could break many glass panes and windshields trying. I will need about for gas to drive the bus with the car in tow to Ohio. And about to come back with the spectrum and be able to return to Ohio again.   Fortunately the fire was not much and most of the damage is broken glass. I only got to see the Bus for 5 minutes so far.  I will need to take many pictures of it in its current condition.

It may cost me as much as  fix Chevy,  for glass, gas to straighten the mess out that was caused by this fire.  Or .   That is too much so I will need to try and find ways to do it cheaper.    The bus was purchased be cause it has only two passenger seats in it and could be used to help persons who had recently been evicted by moving and storing their most valuable positions.   I had only left in my budget to get me and these two vehicles to Ohio in tact.  However being stranded in the city for a month has cost me over and so I am in trouble unless I get more income soon (unlikely) or some group or groups of persons helps me by either way of a loan or a grant with .  Any loan wound need to be unsecured and with me being allowed to pay it back as I can.

I don’t know if these amounts are correct.  I have tried to guess them.  I will learn exact prices and hand write them onto this paper and make copies and give them to those interested in helping me with this dilemma.   My goal is to go to Ohio and get my self established there and safely secure my property in storage there.  And to do the following. I am appalled at how many homeless persons there are in New York city.  I found at least one homeless person sleeping in   every car of every subway train  these past fourteen days.    I have counted personally about 20,000 homeless persons. I have interviewed at least thirty or forty homeless.   I wish to get between fifty and a few hundred homeless persons in NY to file a federal lawsuit about how they are not effectively being helped by the millions dollars spent on them each of the past few years by the Federal Government in grants to agencies which are allegedly helping them.

I hope to do it as a media event.  And to actually get something accomplished.   I would like to get between twenty to forty persons who know how to videotape  (individuals interested or film students at NYC based universities) and all go at once on one night into the city and through the subway system and document  how many homeless there are.  I would also like to help the homeless organize and actively seek help and work to resolve their own trouble.   Perhaps we can create a society or association comprised solely of homeless, which would try to advocate on their behalf and address issues as they see them rather than the way those currently acting to help them see it.     And do evangelism in NYC amongst the homeless.

Sincerely,
